REQUIREMENTS:
Students will:
- create a web,
using Inspiration, of the letters in their name.
- use different fonts, size, color, fill,
graphics
- use
adjectives that describe who they are, based on each letter in
their name.
- use a dictionary and/or thesaurus, if
necessary
- Save the essay in your folder (under Student Work) as essay-student's first name
(example: essay-Joe)
present their
web to the audience (classmates) using the SmartBoard
critically
evaluate each other's webs (in full class setting).
write an
expository essay, using Word, of five (5) paragraphs using the three (3)
adjectives they believe describe them best.

Save the essay in your folder (under Student Work) as essay-student's first name
(example: essay-Joe)

Select the three adjectives that you believe
describe you best (they should present themselves from each
of the letters)

Use standard HKMS heading on essay

Paragraph 1: Introduction

Paragraphs 2, 3 and 4: Incorporate
each adjective into the paragraph with supporting evidence
and anecdotes that would describe you best

Paragraph 5: Conclusion -- synthesis
(sum up) all of the information written in the paragraphs
1-4 to ensure that the reader will totally understand who
you are.

Proof your essay for grammar, spelling and
clarity.

Peer-edit each other's essay for grammar,
spelling and clarity.
